Higher Testosterone Lowers Heart Risks
Hormones in both men and women have their significant role that cannot be ignored. The disturbed levels cause many problems in the body. Testosterone is a main male hormone that performs significant function in the body. Low levels of testosterone are associated with a lot of problems that also include heart problems. According to a study, men having higher levels of testosterone's have lower risks of heart attacks. This study was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology that showed 2400 Swedish men who were in the age of 70s to 80s and had higher testosterone levels were less associated with heart problems as compared to those having low t levels.
According to the reports, Testosterone itself is not enough to lower heart risks; testosterone therapy increases t levels in the body that results in lower heart problems. Any serious health condition can lower testosterone level in the body; Obesity is also one of them along with blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or stroke.
Men in the highest-testosterone group still showed a 30 per cent lower risk of heart disease or stroke compared with the other people of the study group. In another study, Low testosterone levels result in disturbed health conditions that result in higher risk of cardiovascular disease.
In women, deficiency of hormones also causes serious problems and HRT for women is quite effective in balancing the hormone levels. Having proper diet, exercise, and consultation of doctor are essential factors for good health. These treatments must be followed after doctor’s prescription.
